Poor Cameron

Cameron broke his arm on Friday (April 24th) at lunch recess at school. He was sitting on the playground and playing with his friends and a little girl was pulling them off. When she pulled on him he landed on his elbow and fractured his arm. The school nurse called me and asked me to come pick him up. So I did and I took him to an urgent care and had x-rays done. They said that I needed to have and orthopedic surgeon cast it. So they put it in a sling and told me to ice it and have him take ibprofuen to get the swelling down. So he got very bored laying on the couch with his arm up and not being able to move around. I took him to an orthopedic surgeon today and got a cast put on. I also had to get a second set of x-rays done because the ortho. said the first ones weren't very clear and he wanted to get a better picture. So luckily I didn't have Cory (Thank you, Mary!!!!) because it took us ALL day for what was supposed to have been an hour or so. (I left the house at 10 am and didn't get back until 3 pm, just in time for Kayley to get home from school.)
This was taken Saturday night before his bath to so the difference in the size of his elbows. He is such a skinny little guy that the swollen elbow really stands out.
This was Friday night. We wanted to try to keep him propped up so he wouldn't bump his elbow.

I'm BORED!!!!!!!!

Let's get this over with. Enough pictures.

Cool cast. Look at those muscles.

Poor Cameron. It's no fun to have a broken arm at the begining of summer. Hope he is feeling better.

That is so sad. No fun getting hurt. I'm glad he thinks his cast is cool though. Love the color! It looks like he's feeling much better now that he has the cast.
