Christmas Lights

Last week we went to the Mesa Temple grounds to see the beautiful light displays. It was amazing. One of the missionaries that was there asked me to compare it to the Temple Square lights and I told him you couldn't compare the two. The ones in Mesa are amazing and I loved the Nativity scenes the best.
Kayley wanted to take the pictures as we walked around so the pictures I'm posting were taken by her.

I thought these were so neat. They are flowers made out of lights.
The kids all loved looking at these. The waterfall effect was amazing. I can't imagine how many hours went into designing and setting up the lights.

Halloween 2009

We had a fun Halloween. On Friday was our ward's Trunk-or-Treat. Kenzie loved that. She thought it was fun to put the candy into her pumpkin (amazingly she didn't try to eat it).

This is one of the costumes Cory wore. Up until it was time to go he kept changing his mind. He wore Thomas to our neighborhood (HOA) party on Halloween afternoon. But then he changed into Dash to go trick-or-treating. He also wanted to be a football player like he was last year, but never did actually wear that one. {I didn't get a picture with him as Dash.}

Kenzie didn't like it when we put on her costume. She was fine once it was on, but trying to put it on was torture (for her and for us trying to get it on while she was screaming).

Kayley wanted to be a baker. So I found a pattern to make a chef's hat off of familyfun.com (Thanks again Mom for the suggestion). It turned out better than I thought it would.

Cameron was excited to be Dash again. He has been Dash two other years.

I had to take a picture from behind because I think this costume is so cute.

She had a blast getting the candy, but was happy to sit in the stroller after a while and be pushed to the door.
This is Cory and his best friend Preston. They are so cute together. They play practically every day, and are so good together.

This was the first year that Kayley went Trick-or-Treating with friends. They were with a grownup just not me. I can't believe how big all of the kids are getting so fast.
This is all of the candy we got between the four kids. It is an insane amount.

The independence of a 19 month old

This is what happens when a 19 month old tries to feed herself yogurt. I am very thankful for bibs, so I didn't have to change her pjs.

She was such a mess, but at least she enjoyed what yogurt made it into her mouth.

Random pictures

I've been waiting for Brent to post some pictures of the Cardinals Preseason game they went to in August, but since he hasn't I will just put up some random pictures of the kids.

A neighbor called me yesterday and asked if we wanted to go to the park, so we did. The weather was beautiful and the kids had so much fun.

These are pjs that all of the kids have worn. I had just put them away after Cory was done with them. But Kenzie found them and wanted to wear "Mo." So they are now her's. The sad part is that they are 4T and they aren't that big on her.

All of the kids love popcorn. I was feeding them like birdies. They thought that was so funny.

Nursery

I'm a little sad. Kenzie went to nursery officially for the first time today. She is only 17 months, but where Brent and I are Primary teachers, one of us usually ended up in the hall with her. The Primary President took her in last week for a little while and she loved it. So during this week, it was decided that she would start attending Nursery today. She went right in and had fun. She was a little sad when everyone started getting picked up, but was happy otherwise. That is a good thing because it is during her morning nap, and she is so tired since she wakes up by 6:30 (not my choice of wake up time, she is always waking me up). I just can't believe my baby is old enough for nursery already.

Tumbleweed Park

Since my birthday was on a Sunday this year we went to the park on Saturday and had a lot of fun. We ate pancakes and then played for awhile. It was absolutely beautiful weather.
I had taken Kenzie and Cory there once before, but this was the first time for Brent, Kayley, and Cameron.

Cory being our entertainer as usual.

Waiting oh so patiently to go play on the toys. Good thing she had juice, so she could last ten minutes instead of five.

Kayley being the wonderful helper she is and playing with Kenzie.
Cory decided he wanted to sit in the baby toys.

I love this shot! I haven't seen a tire swing forever. The kids loved it.

Kenzie loves seeing cows. "MMMM." (Translation: that is her moo.)

My sweet monkey boys. Always climbing on something.

This lizard was a little bit too big for Kenzie. She normally loves them, but I couldn't hardly get her to sit still for the picture.

She had to follow the boys up.
Isn't she just beautiful?

Cute toes!

I painted Kayley and Kenzie's fingernails for fun, and Kenzie loved it. She sat still the whole time. This was her first time having it done.

Kayley had fun painting mine for me. I tried to get Kenzie to sit down, but that didn't happen. Oh well it is cute seeing her chubby little legs.

School Days

Kayley and Cameron started school on July 27th at Weinberg Elem.
They are both excited.

They both like riding the bus.
I like it because their stop is the second to last one in the morning (the last stop is in another part of the neighborhood) and the first stop in the afternoon.

Ligori's

We went to Ligori's Pizza in Layton with Grandma and Grandpa Palmer on July 2nd after all the fun of playing outside in the water. They have really good pizza and garlic bread.

Kenzie, Kayley, Shannon, Cory, Justin, Cameron, and Devin

Abbie, Nathan, Grandpa, Grandma, Cami and Brent

Cameron decided he need a "bib."

Grandpa then followed Cameron's example...

and Cory had to follow Grandpa's example. Such cute boys.

We took these outside of the restaurant just before we left. Kenzie wasn't too sure about sitting there by herself.

But she sure looked cute.
