Science Fair

For the school science fair Cory's class was to chose an animal and make a model of it and it's habitat. Cory chose to do an elephant.
This was the first attempt with really old play dough. (Kenzie is very proud of the one she helped with. The one on pink stilts. It was a good thing Cory had Grampa Palmer helping him because my attempts were not very good. I called it the Giraffe-elephant.) These at least gave me something to try and copy with the next set.

This was our second attempt. Decided salt dough was the better way to go. (Although I made it yesterday and some of my fingers still have black on them. Gotta love food colors.) I tried to have the standing but it was too wet and heavy, so we changed plans and decided to have the elephants sitting in water instead.

Awesome elephants!
Oh science fair you evil thing, why don't you go away?!?! I wish they would let our kids do something like that for science fair! That I could do. But I guess when they get into jr. high and high school they figure that the kids can do something a little more.
