Cameron loves to sleep with his monkey pillow that Grandma Palmer made for Christmas. I couldn't pass up taking this with the tail over his head. Too funny.
Kayley wanted to get the Fun Summer Movie tickets for her birthday and so we got them for the kids and me to go. It was alot of fun. This was the only picture I took and it was at the last movie and only Kenzie, Hannah and I were there because the other kids were in school

I made this for my birthday cake this year. I love decorating cakes. I have decided that even though I may be getting older there is no reason I can't have silly, fun cakes just like the kids.

I wish I had pictures of the night before my birthday, but I unfortunately didn't take any. Brent threw a surpise party for me and it was so much fun. We had four families plus ours here. The kids were loving it just as much as I was because there friends had come to play for a little while.

Hannah

Hannah is getting so big. It seems that every day she gets just a little bit chubbier. She is finally ready to wear size one diapers and get out of the newborns. My other kids only wore newborn for about a week and then moved up. She will be six weeks tomorrow! I'm excited that is growing a little more each day.

3 weeks old

My wonderful and creative sister made this onesie and three others for her. She took onesies and added decorations to them. They are so cute. She also made the blanket.
You can still see on her right foot some of the scabs from all the blood that she had drawn at the hospital.

1 month

I started with Cory to take a picture of him with a football on the same blanket every month to see how much he had grown. I did also with Kenzie and bunny, and I'm going to do the same with Hannah and her frog.

This was taken on Sunday. She is finally in a 0-3 month outfit and not a newborn. I love this dress. Pam gave it to me when I had Kayley and all three girls have now worn it. It looks so cute on them.

Back to School

Kayley, Cameron, and Cory's first day of school.

Pictures

This is our sweet little Hannah.

I love all of her dark hair. She doesn't have quite as much as Cory did when he was born, but definitely more than the rest.They put this feeding tube in to suction out some of the junk that she swallowed during delivery. She would start gagging like she had a hair ball or making gurgling sounds and it was because she had fluid that was caught in her throat and wouldn't come out.

I guess she decided that since she was in Arizona she needed to come home with a tan. :)

She slept really well with the glasses on. But when she was awake she hated having them on.

The day she was discharged she ripped off the velcro on both sides of her face.
She loves having her arms out when she sleeps and usually has them up by her face.

She loves snuggling with Grandma Palmer. We were so happy so came home when she did so that she could get in Grandma time before they had to go back home.
I thought this was so cute.

It looks like she is thinking about a question she has and is about to raise her hand.

Hannah

I just wanted to post an update on our newest member of our family, Hannah Katelyn.
(I will do pictures later.)

WARNING: Extremely long post!!
Last week was seemed very long. Monday we went to my doctor appointment. When we got home we discovered we had a pipe leaking water into our garage. So we spent the night at the Johnson's since we had to shutoff the water. (Being 34 weeks pregnant without a working toilet, cold water to drink, and air conditioning just doesn't work.) So while Brent and I spent the night in the hospital to watch and see if my labor was progressing on Monday night, the kids were able to stay with them. We got back to the house about 5:30 am. The kids and I spent the day there while the plumber came to fix the problem. There was a leaky pipe running from the water heater into the kids bathroom. So the plumber was able to get it worked out enough that we could have cold water until he could get the approval from our landlord to do the work.

Tuesday night my water broke at 11:30. Jeremy came and stayed with the kids while we went to the hospital. We got there just about midnight, and Hannah was born at 1:02 am. She was 4 weeks early and weighed 7 lbs. 12 oz., 21.7 inches long. She has a lot of dark hair.


Wednesday morning at about 3:30 am I got a call from the on-call pediatrician telling me that Hannah's billirubim levels were high and since the nursery was completely full they didn't have the room or staff to take care of her. She told me that an ambulance was on the way to pick her up and take her to a bigger hospital about 20 minutes away. When the ambulance got there they brought her to me to say goodbye. The first person to walk in was a flight medic followed by two people who work for the ambulance company. It scared me at first that maybe they had decided to fly her there (which would me it was a lot more serious), but luckily he was just there to help with the transport. I was told that they weren't going to take her out because then she would want to eat and take too long. I told them that if I held her they probably wouldn't get her back, so it was better if I didn't hold her at that point.

I was later discharged by my doctor about 9 am and Brent and I went straight to she how she was doing. She was only on the blanket light, and had already been taken off the overhead lights. Throughout the course of her stay at the hospital her levels went up and down and the same with her weight. She was put back on the overhead lights after her levels had gotten over 11, which normally isn't extremely high except it happened when she was so young. But the next day they took her off the overhead lights and took out her IV. I was able to hold her while I fed her every three hours. She was only supposed to be off the lights for up to 30 min. but it always ended up being closer to an hour by the time the nurses did their assessments, she got her diaper changed and then being fed.

I had just left her room for a few minutes on Sunday morning and when I came back in the doctor was there checking to see how she was doing. When she saw me she asked if we wanted to go home that day. I was so excited because I was thinking it would be at least Tuesday before that happened. We had been told that her levels had to go down and stay down for at least 24 hours and that she had to start gaining back some of her birth weight. This doctor wasn't concerned about sending her home because Hannah was doing everything she could (eat, sleep, and poop-which by this point she was really good at). She said to follow-up with her doctor in two to three days.
Brent and my parents took the kids to church on Sunday. When I found out the news I sent Brent a text saying that she was coming home. He was a little surprised and extremely excited. I also found out that Kayley was fasting for Hannah that day. She was so excited when she found out that she was coming home that day.

I took Hannah in for her followup visit and the doctor said that he isn't going to check her levels again because she is looking so good. She is still a little yellow in the face and eyes, but looking alot better everywhere else. She has gained back two ounces since Sunday. When she was discharged she weighed 7 lbs., today she weighed 7 lbs. 2 oz.

We are so thankful for everyones prayers and thoughts on behalf of Hannah. They have been felt and very much appreciated.

Fathers & Sons

On April 30th and May 1st was our ward's Fathers and Sons. This is the first year that Brent was able to attend a Fathers and Sons outing with the boys. He can't remember ever going before, so it was a first for all three of them. They had a lot of fun, other than it getting REALLY cold at night. They unfortunately didn't get any pictures of Saturday because the camera's batteries died.

This was taken right after dinner. Cory had spilt his ramen noodles down his coat, so Brent gave him his sweatshirt to wear while Cory's coat dried by the fire.

There was a big group of dads and boys that came.

Cory was really tired, and kept asking to go to bed. I just wish he would do that at home.

While the boys went camping, Kenzie, Kayley, and I went to the park for dinner and water balloon games with a group of moms and daughters from the ward. We had a lot of fun, until Kayley had a water balloon pop on her shirt and she started to get cold.

FHE- Nephi

We did this a few weeks ago, I just was lazy and hadn't posted them yet. We told the kids the story of Nephi when he and his brothers went back for the gold plates. Then we had the kids act out the story. After, Laman was unsuccessful, Nephi followed the Lord's promotings and went to get the plates. We had each of the kids take turns being Nephi, and the other three waited outside until Nephi came for them.

This was Kenzie's turn being Nephi. She took Laban's shirt and the gold plates and went to go find her brothers.

The brothers were scared of Nephi and ran away.

Apparently, Laban got drunk very easily since he is holding a water bottle. :)
